What Does A Women’s Event Offer?
A Women’s Event takes place October 5th – 7th in picturesque downtown of historic Easton on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Within easy driving distance from the Washington DC, Baltimore, Wilmington and Philadelphia metropolitan areas, event activities are in a variety of venues, within walking range. You will walk along tree-lined streets to the Colonial, Victorian, Federal-style buildings where the courses/lectures will take place. There will be easy parking for those participants who choose an accommodation outside of the downtown historic district.
Your event ticket enables you to choose from a curriculum of more than 30 activities during the weekend, and to join in special events open only to A Women’s Event participants. There is plenty of time to kick back and stroll the charming streets of Downtown Easton, to shop in the charming boutiques and dine in the renowned restaurants and pleasant bistros in the area.
Friday evening you get a “taste of Easton” with a welcoming reception at the Academy Art Museum, the town’s art galleries inviting you to peruse the latest works of the many artists who live and work in the area (First Friday’s Gallery Walk), and delicious dining opportunities at your finger tips.
For Saturday and Sunday mornings, you design your own schedule, selecting workshops, courses, or presentations from fields of interest to you: The Arts, Nature and Green Technology and Wellness. Your afternoons leave time for exploring the area and enjoying your favorite activities with your friends.
There will be special events in the earlier mornings and late afternoons, see schedule. For evening entertainment, you can make arrangements at the Historic Avalon Theater; and local night spots offer music/cabaret entertainment.
The event officially closes at 4 pm on Sunday afternoon.
On the home page of the Women’s Event website, you find succinct answers to the questions: What is included in your ticket? How do I sign up?

Easton and Maryland’s Eastern Shore are spectacular in early October. The drive through the gently rolling countryside, across meandering creeks and rivers, is a special journey in itself. Glimpses of calm waters, flocks of migrating birds, circling eagles and osprey are set against a backdrop of colorful foliage and harvested farm fields.
